We sold our first generation digital rebel and bought a new Canon Powershot S3IS. . YAY!!! so . . here are some pics from over the weekend. . . .

Ellery's 4 month well baby check

was this morning!!! Here's the scoop:

let's see. . she's 15lbs 12oz (80th %tile) and 26 inches long (90th %tile). ...i think her length must all be in her torso b/c all her pants are too big LOL

she had 4 shots today :( and we got the go ahead to start orange and yellow fruits and veggies :)

overall her pediatrician says she looks AMAZING (brag brag LOL). . .she's got great head/trunk control and posture....

she felt around and said the tooth on the bottom right is probably coming up very soon. .she said it's right there ;D

One Year Ago Today

WOW. I can't believe what a difference a year makes. When those 2 lines appeared on that test I knew my life was going to change, I just had no clue how much. I was prepared for the changes (or so I thought). How was I to know that in a year I would be SO different, that I would literally walk in front of a train for that little blue eyed munchkin. I had no idea that I was going to be so wholly transformed and consumed by a type of love that I had never experienced before.

1 whole year. So much has changed - and I wouldn't change a thing!

4 months old!!!

I can hardly believe that Ellery is 4 months old today. She's SO big and changing SO much everyday!

Her 4 month appt (and shots - BOO!!!) is on Thursday - I'm anxious to see how much she weighs and how long she is! I can tell she's getting bigger - but I would like to see her actual stats :)

let's see . . .at 4 months:

weight/length/percentiles: TBD
sleeping: through the night and 2-3 naps throughout the day
teeth: still working on the bottom two
smiling: of course!!!
laughing out loud: not yet
rolling over: she's rolled from her tummy to her back 3 times. . . nothing from her back to tummy. .
eating: 8oz every 4 hours (32 oz daily) plus 2 Tablespoons of cereal with each feeding. .hoping to start veggies this week
other: scoots all around her crib at night, holding her head and trunk up amazingly well when on the floor, loves looking at her toes, occasionally grabs for them, she's so happy all the time. . even when she wakes up. Loves her jumparoo and her exersaucer, noticing belle a lot more and touching her occasionally (when belle lets her LOL)

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Ellery decided that 3:30 this morning was as good a time as any to get a new milestone under her belt - she rolled from her tummy to her back!!

She woke herself up .. which of course woke ME up.....when I went in she was on her back sucking on her hand. .. . so cute!!!

I turned her back over onto her tummy and she went back to sleep....then at 6am I went back in her room to get her to start our day. . she was on her back again.

I might just have to tape her down to keep her asleep

it's been HOT here!!!

so Ellery has had to dress appropriately:

you will note that the child still has little to no hair :) Actually it IS starting to grow in. . but it's VERY VERY light blonde.

She's still working on those 2 bottom teeth . . drooling up a storm and chewing a lot. She's now sitting up in her stroller as opposed to laying back . . . I can't believe how big she's getting. . or how fast it's happening.

She's also still working on rolling from her back to her belly. She doesn't seem to be in much of a rush but I can see that she's going to do it soon. . . :)

Jump....Jump.....Jump!!!

I decided the other day that Ellery needs MORE. . stimulation. . activity. . something....she gets VERY upset when she's just sitting....she always wants to be active etc. etc. AND my not quite four month old monkey girl is trying to SIT UP. . what's up with that?!!! Who told her she could attempt THAT??!! Certainly not her Mommy that's for sure!

At any rate, since she's wanting to be more active and sitting up I thought it would be a good time to break out her Jumparoo and Exersaucer. We decided to leave the Jumparoo at my mom and dad's since she's there all week and take the Exersaucer home - plus we don't have room for both in our tiny living room LOL.

Tuesday night John put the Jumparoo together and my mom called me yesterday to tell me how much Ellery LOVES it. Seriously. . .she'll sit in it for like 45 minutes just hanging out (literally LOL) and bouncing. Before she attempted bouncing however, she had to thoroughly inspect all the mechanics of said Jumparoo - that's our little engineer.....just like her Daddy!!! :)

Then she went to Jumpy town (as opposed to funky town LOL).
