Another Ellery Update

The fabulous, divine Miss E will be 15 weeks old on Sunday - my my my where does the time go??

Speaking of time going way too fast and my monkey getting SO old - she's teething....yes. . . that's right. . .the child is getting her bottom two teeth. I feel SO bad for her. . she's so unhappy sometimes....and there's not much we can do. Also every night she's running a low grade temp (100.2 - 100.5) and drooling up a storm....I'm just hoping they break the surface soon and give her some relief!

I'm striving to keep her on her nap schedule on the weekends. . I have to be better about it. . b/c she's a BEAR when she doesn't sleep enough.

She's also going to bed by 8pm now. On one hand it's nice to have a little extra time before *I* go to bed....but on the other hand it's sad because I get to spend so little time with her anyway that getting even LESS time is hard :(

oh well!

Hopefully I'll have some cute new pics to post over the weekend. . as well as new scrapbook pages!

Ellery update!!!

Not a lot has been going on. Ellery's over her ear infection and done with her antibiotics and is (I think) feeling better.

We had a big weekend - Saturday we took Ellery to get her ears pierced!!! Mommy cried of course and Ellery pretty much screamed bloody murder. But she's okay now :). She looks so cute!!! (pics at the end of post LOL)

Then yesterday Ellery went to her first birthday party - for her cousin Lola. It was fun seeing everyone and wearing a silly party hat - Mommy made her do it LOL.

Yesterday was such an amazing day. I got all choked up when they asked us in church what name we gave our baby and why we were there today (to have her baptized).

Ellery did phenomenal through the ceremony (all day actually!!). she slept through a lot of it. . . was awake for the actual baptism and didn't make a peep with the water!! She was also blessed by the Deacon with holy water that my mom brought back from Ireland before Ellery was even thought of (it was actually even before John and I were married!)

The dress she wore was made by my mom for me . . so it's 27 years told. The hat was a little small (as you can see LOL). Auntie Kerrin also bought Ellery a beautiful gold cross and chain that she wore as well.

After the ceremony we had the party after at a chinese restaurant. Ellery was SO good. People passed her around and she was just as happy as can be. She actually ended up taking a little nap on Auntie Sammie's shoulder for a bit.

Yesterday was also the anniversary of my Nanny's death. Kind of made it more special in a weird way. Ellery will never know her great Nanny but now they share a day.

we had her 3 month pictures taken today. . I can't say i'm in love with them...no smiles...but they turned out pretty cute!!

GI update

we had a follow up appointment toady with the GI doctor and it didn't start off so well...we get there and the lady's like..oh...you didn't get our messages...the PA who we see had to go home....argh

she's like. . the next appt we can get you is May 25th....as in 6 weeks from now

so....i was about to burst into tears and I said..is there anyway we can just get a new prescription for her Zantac b/c i think she needs a higher dose....she went to see if the doctor could help us and when she came back she's like "dr. mobasseleh will fit you in now". ..YAY!

so..ellery weighs 12lbs 5oz....they upped her Zantac to 1.1 ml 3x per day and we're just going to continue with everything as it is now....i asked him to check her ear as well and he said it looks fine and just finish the antibiotics

we have to go back in 7 weeks....i'm disappointed they're not weaning her from the special formula..but hey..i probably shouldn't complain.

SHE LAUGHED!!!!!!!!!!!!

yesterday afternoon my mom got princess monkey butt *hehe* to LAUGH!!!!! :) :)

and I was even there to hear it for the first time :) :)

My poor little Ellery monkey :(

my mom said yesterday that Ellery was grouchy all day long....which is odd for her....we chalked it up to her probably needing an adjustment on her Zantac b/c of her weight gain.

Last night I took her home and she'd be totally fine then all of a sudden she'd just start screaming hysterically.

I changed her diaper and decided to take her temp. she's always warm to the touch (like her daddy) and john's always ragging on me b/c I'm forever taking her temp. well her temp was 100.3 ....the MD's office told us to call only when it's 100.5 so I was like...eh..no biggie.

After we ate dinner John took her temp again and it was 100.4....she's been pulling at her ear since Sat. but we chalked it up to her discovering she actually HAS ears.

I called the pedi's office... they couldn't see her last night (grr) so they told us they could see her this morning or we could take her to urgent care or the ER.....we took her to urgent care

she's got a mild ear infection my poor little monkey girl :( :( :( :( she's on 1tsp. of amoxicillin 3 times a day. poor baby :(

Easter Pictures

Ellery was not exactly what I'd call cooperative yesterday for Easter pictures. We still got some cute ones though LOL :)

The Easter bunny visited and filled Ellery's new basket with: new binkies, linkadoos, peter pan dvd, and a taggie book

The easter bunny also stopped by Nana and Nonno's and brought Ellery 2 summer outfits, a stretch the giraffe for Nana and Nonno's house, a new rattle, and a baby Tizoo, which Ellery just LOVES!!!! :)

We had a quiet day at Nana and Nonno's. No hunting eggs this year!

another milestone checked off the list. I think she did it at my Mom's during the day but when I got home last night she spent some time under her rainforest gym and grabbed the blue spinny thing.

How exciting!!! My baby's getting so big!!! :)

Ellery's First Sleepover and Faux Easter

Yesterday we celebrated Easter with my in-law's since they'll be away next week. John downloaded the pictures but didn't send me any to post other than the ones we took of Ellery all dressed up to go to Papa and Mimi's!

My friend Erin, her husband Chris and their baby Jay sent Ellery that outfit...isn't it the CUTEST thing ever??!!! (okay the baby's pretty darn cute too!! LOL)

We also had baptism class last night in preparation for (duh) Ellery's Christening. Since class wasn't going to get out until 9pm my parents offered to keep Ellery overnight!! It was her first sleepover . . .I just spoke to my dad and apparently all went well . . . YAY!!!!

I can't believe that she's 11 weeks old already!!! yikes. . where has the time gone???
